Mung Bean Payasa

Ingredients
  

  • 100 g Mung Beans
  • 20 g Jaggery
  • 200 ml Water
  • 500 ml Milk
  • 2 pods Cardamom
  • 1 tbsp Ghee (opt for A2 Ghee, if you can)
  • 5 pcs Cashew
  • 5 pcs Raisin

Instructions
 

  • Roasting Mung Beans: Roast the mung beans in low flame in a pan until you can smell the sweet aroma of the mung beans. Be careful not to burn the beans. Cool the beans and use a grinder to powder the beans to coarse texture.
  • Cooking: Take the water in a pan and add mung powder. In a low flame, bring the mixture to boil (about 5 min). Add jaggery and milk to this, and cook for 3-5 min more.
  • Garnishing: Roast cashews and raisins in ghee separately and add to the above preparation. Add cardamom powder and mix well. Serve hot or cold.
