Creamy Almond Milk from Activated Almond Butter

Almond Milk
Ingredients
- ½ cup almonds (soaked for 6-8 hours or overnight)
- 2 cups water (plus extra for soaking)
- 1-2 dates or 1 tbsp jaggery (optional, for sweetness)
- ½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- A pinch of salt
Directions
- Soak the Almonds
Soak almonds in water for at least 6-8 hours or overnight. This softens them and makes blending easier.
Drain the water and peel the almonds (optional, but gives a smoother texture). - Blend the Almonds
Add the soaked almonds to a blender along with 2 cups of fresh water.
Blend on high speed for 1-2 minutes until smooth and creamy. - Strain the Milk
Using a nut milk bag or fine mesh strainer, strain the blended mixture to separate the almond pulp.
Squeeze out as much liquid as possible. - Enhance the Flavor (Optional)
Add dates or jaggery for sweetness, a pinch of salt, and vanilla extract. Blend again for a few seconds. - Storage & Usage
Store the almond milk in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Use it as a dairy-free alternative in smoothies, tea, coffee, or cooking!
